Placement of the Verified by Visa merchant mark

Having a secure environment and an easy-to-follow procedure ranks highest among consumers’ expectations for the checkout process at online stores. Studies show that the Verified by Visa Mark adds credibility and an enhanced feeling of trust and security to online shopping websites. In a recent survey by Asia Market Intelligence, 92 percent of consumers said they would want to see the Verified by Visa Mark on the checkout page and approximately two-thirds said they would also want to see the Mark on the home page and/or shopping basket pages. 
 
Visa strongly recommends that you display the Verified by Visa Merchant Mark along with the ‘learn more’ text, prominently on your website, both early in the shopping experience and on the payment page.
 
Use the following guidelines for adding the Verified by Visa Merchant Mark to your website:

• Display the Verified by Visa Mark as early in the shopping experience as possible (e.g., home page, shopping cart)
• Wherever applicable, display the Verified by Visa Mark along with other security or better business marks (e.g., Verisign, Thawte, BBB, etc.)
• On the payment page, place the Verified by Visa Mark next to, or close to the credit card entry fields
• Ensure that the Verified by Visa Mark is clearly visible and not overshadowed by other elements on the page
• If you offer express checkout with secure log-in, our recommendation is to display the Verified by Visa Merchant Mark near the log-in entry area.
