Visa Olympics of the Imagination drawing contest
1. The Visa Olympics of the Imagination is organized and sponsored by Visa International (Asia-Pacific) Ltd (“Sponsor”), in association with Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee and Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, and supported by Hong Kong Education Bureau. 
 
2. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.  The competition (“Competition”) runs from 15 November 2007 to 22 February 2008 (“Competition Period”) and is open to all legal Hong Kong SAR residents who are between the ages of 10 and 14 years old during the Competition Period. Children of Visa employees, its Member Financial Institutions, participating partner, vendors and sponsors, parent/subsidiary companies, distributors, advertising and promotion agencies, and their agents/suppliers and affiliated persons (collectively, “Sponsor Entities”) are not permitted to enter. The Competition is subject to all applicable laws and regulations in Hong Kong SAR. The Competition is void wherever prohibited by law.
 
3. HOW TO ENTER.  From 15 November 2007 through 22 February 2008 (the “Competition Period”), Visa International (Asia-Pacific) Ltd (“Sponsor”) will conduct a contest promoting the 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong SAR. To enter, entrants must use their imagination to create a piece of original artwork (by hand) that shows how the Olympic Games can unite different cultures and captures the spirit of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games – “One World, One Dream”. To enter the Competition, entrants must obtain an official entry form by logging on to the Competition website at www.visa.com.hk, print the official entry form, and mail their entry to Visa Olympics of the Imagination Competition, c/o Ketchum Hong Kong, 33/F Two Chinachem Exchange Square, 338 Kings Road, North Point, Hong Kong, as set forth therein. Each entry also must have a descriptive title. Final artwork must be no larger than A3 (297mm x 420mm) and no smaller than A4 (210mm x 297mm). Entrants may enter as many times as they wish but each entry must be entered separately. All artwork must be original, created solely by one individual entrant and never previously published. The whole artwork must be hand drawn. Incorporation of printed material of any kind or photographic elements is not permitted. Commercial identification of any sort (e.g. depiction of an advertisement on the stadium wall or brand logos on clothing) will not be allowed. Three-dimensional artwork will not be accepted. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, damaged or misdirected entries and will not accept entries without sufficient postage. Entrants assume all responsibility for proper packing, shipping and cost of entry, and accept all responsibility for damage to artwork in transit. Each entry must be accompanied by a completed and accurate entry form. All entries must be received or postmarked by 22 February 2008. Participants who submit an entry that fails to meet any of the criteria set forth in the Official Rules or otherwise will be disqualified. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend the Competition for any reason.
 
4. HOW TO WIN.  No later than 30 April 2008, the winner or winners (the “Winner”) of the Competition will be chosen by a panel of judges selected by Sponsor (the “Judges”) from all eligible entries received by the dates specified above. Entries will be judged on the basis of the artwork’s originality and imagination (50%) and the artwork’s artistic merit (50%). The title will form part of the judging process. Judges’ decisions are final on all matters relating to this Competition. The odds of winning will depend upon the total number of eligible entries received during the eligibility period and the quality of such entries. The Winner will be notified by e-mail, mail and/or telephone and must meet all eligibility requirements including the execution and return of all necessary releases and documents.
 
5. PRIZES. Two First Prizes will be awarded in this Competition to Hong Kong SAR residents. Similar competitions are being held in other countries and territories around the world, with each country awarding one or more First Prizes. Each First Prize consists of a four-night, five-day trip for the winner and their parent/legal guardian to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China, including hotel (double occupancy), round-trip economy class flight from winner’s closest airport to the Olympic Games, selected meals and admission to selected Olympic events. Approximate value of each First Prize is HK$110,000. Payment of all taxes on the prize and expenses not listed above are the Winner’s responsibility. Winner and parent/legal guardian must be able to travel between 5 August and 12 August 2008 and be available for a public award ceremony in March / April 2008 (date to be confirmed by Sponsor) to collect the prize otherwise it will be forfeited. No substitution, cash equivalent or transfer of prize permitted, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. In the event of a tie, duplicate prizes may be awarded. At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China, one grand prize winner (the “Grand Prize Winner”) will be selected from all first prize winners. The Grand Prize shall consist of a four night, five day trip for the winner and their parent/legal guardian to the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, Canada, including hotel (double occupancy), round-trip economy class flight from winner’s closest airport to the Olympic Winter Games, selected meals and admission to selected Olympic events. Approximate value of the Grand Prize is US$14,000, depending on country of origin. Payment of all taxes on the prize and expenses not listed above are the winner’s responsibility. Winner and parent/legal guardian must be able to travel between 10 and 28 February 2010, or they will forfeit the prize. No substitution, cash equivalent or transfer of prize permitted, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. The prize will be delivered to the winner’s parent/legal guardian. The Panel of Judges will also choose from amongst the eligible entries five entries for winning the Second Prizes. Each Second Prize consists of an art class sponsorship with the value of HK$5,000 each. The prize will be delivered to the winner’s parent/legal guardian. No more than 100 entries will also be selected for winning a Visa Olympic souvenir item and a certificate of merit.
 
6. WINNER'S LIST OR OFFICIAL RULES. For names of the winners or a copy of the Official Rules, please send a stamped self-addressed envelope, to “Visa Olympics of the Imagination”, c/o Ketchum Hong Kong, 33F Two Chinachem Exchange Square, 338 Kings Road, North Point, Hong Kong. Please specify “Official Rules” or “Winners” on envelope.
 
7. GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS.  By participating, the entrant transfers all rights in and to the artwork (including all copyrights) to Sponsor and agrees to these Official Rules and accepts the final decisions of Sponsor and its Judges. Entries are the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. By submitting an entry, participants grant the Sponsor and the Sponsor Entities the right to use, re-use, publish and re-publish, in whole or in part, in composite or distorted in character of form, without restricting their entry submissions and their licenses, image or photograph, in any and all media, now or hereafter, for promotion, illustration, editorial, art, advertising, marketing, trade or any other purpose whatsoever without compensation. Winner’s parents or legal guardians must execute any documents necessary to perfect such rights in the Sponsor or Sponsor Entities. Additionally, Winner and Winner’s parents or legal guardians  will each be required to sign affidavits of eligibility, tax acknowledgment forms, liability releases and, except where prohibited by law, use of name and likeness releases (“Winner Documents”) and return within five (5) days of issuance of notification. If (i) any prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, (ii) Winner declines his or her prize, or (iii) Winner fails to sign any required Winner Documents or to comply with any of the Official Rules and Regulations as outlined herein, Winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Winner and his or her parent/legal guardian must have valid travel documents/passports/visas and be eligible for entry to China and Vancouver, Canada, (if applicable) on the travel dates set forth by Sponsor. The Competition Entities expressly disclaim any responsibility and entrants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsor and Sponsor Entities, and their respective employees, officers, directors, shareholders and agents, from and against any and all claims, actions, demands and/or liability for injury, damage or loss whatsoever relating to or arising in connection with participation in this Competition (regardless of the cause of such injury or loss) or the delivery and/or subsequent use or misuse of any of the prizes awarded. Additionally, by entering this Competition, participants represent and warrant that their submission is original and does not infringe on the rights or intellectual property claims of any third party or entity and agree to indemnify and hold the Sponsor and Sponsor Entities harmless for any related claims. No more than the stated number of prizes per these Official Rules will be awarded.
