Visa Opens 55 Information Kiosks for Visitors to Beijing 2008 Olympic Games
Visa, a worldwide partner of the Olympic Games, today opened 55 striking blue and white porcelain tourist information kiosks throughoutBeijing to provide multilingual information services to cardholders and international visitors traveling to China for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

Visa and its client banks in China have also installed more than 90,000 ATMs (including 26 Olympic-themed ones) and signed up some 216,000 merchant locations or outlets throughout China as of December 2007 to help prepare for the expected influx of international visitors from this year.

The information kiosks can be found at the Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA), Olympic venues and key tourist and shopping areas.  They are themed with the same blue and white brush stroke and traditional signature seal designs found on the Olympic-themed Visa ATMs, making them easy for Visa cardholders to recognize.

Upon arrival at BCIA’s newly-constructed Terminal 3, a Visa kiosk will greet international visitors with information related to Olympic events and venues, tourist attractions and Beijing’s public transportation facilities during the Games. In addition to the kiosk found at Terminal 3, Visa has installed kiosks throughout BCIA offering information about on-site emergency services should they lose their Visa card or need medical assistance.

Visa has a global ATM locator on www.visa.com.au to help visitors find the location of their nearest ATM.  Visa has been an official worldwide sponsor and the only card accepted at all venues of the Olympic Games since 1986.
