Visa launches first global ad campaign |

Visa Inc. has unveiled its first global advertising campaign, entitled “More people around the world Go with Visa,” reflecting the company’s evolution to a single, global company. The new campaign enables Visa to align its worldwide marketing under a single theme that highlights the superior value Visa delivers versus cash and cheques – including more security, more control and more convenience.
The campaign also enables Visa to achieve cost efficiencies by consolidating its global marketing efforts. The first television commercial for
New Zealand was launched on 8 March and is being supported by cinema and digital advertising. In Australia, the new brand line “More people around the world Go with Visa” has been integrated into a major new Visa Debit campaign. |

Debit card use on the rise - survey |

Australian consumers have shown an increased preference for debit card transactions, with a 35 percent increase in the share of merchant receivables made up of debit card payments over the past three years, according to a survey by East & Partners carried out in Australia. |

Visa calls for maintaining investment at Global Security Summit |

Visa Inc. chief enterprise risk officer Ellen Richey told security experts that payment card data fraud rates remain near historic lows despite economic woes and high-profile compromises, and called for continued industry investment, collaboration and innovation at a Global Security Summit. Visa also released a new survey showing that many consumers are choosing to shop only with retailers they trust to protect their personal data. |

Kiwibank launches Visa Debit card |

Kiwibank has become the
latest bank to offer Visa Debit in New Zealand with the launch of the Kiwibank Visa Debit card. The card allows New Zealanders to get cash from ATMs, use it for EFTPOS nationwide, and make purchases online, overseas and over the phone. |

Visa has launched its 2009 Visa Commercial Offers program, which features savings on a wide range of business products and services from more than 120 established merchants. The program includes discounts for business travel and accommodation, support services, office supplies, IT and other suppliers. For example, Visa Commercial cardholders can access deals such as 10 percent off flower and hamper purchases from FastFlowers, a 10 percent discount from iSUBSCRiBE, and a bonus 10 percent cashback on selected Lenovo products via the Lenovo Visa Cash Card. The program is open to holders of Visa Business Card, Visa Corporate Card and Visa Purchasing Card. |

Stadium in Sydney, Club Members were given the opportunity to
receive an ANZ Stadium Visa payWave card pre-loaded with $25.
The cards were given to Members who booked a paying guest to

March. The reloadable cards use Visa’s contactless payments

Ingvar Kenne wins National Photographic Portrait Prize |

Ingvar Kenne has been named winner of the Australian National Photographic Portrait Prize 2009, sponsored by Visa. Kenne’s portrait of his two sons was selected by a panel of judges to win the $25,000 top prize. An exhibition of the finalists, chosen from 1200 entries, runs at the new National Portrait Gallery in Canberra until May 24. |
