Do I need a PIN, or a signature to complete a transaction?
There is no need to enter a PIN or to sign* for any Visa Contactless transaction. However, a PIN will be required when you use it for cash withdrawals at ATMs, and a signature is needed for transactions above RM110 in Malaysia or NTD1,000 (NTD,3000 at China Petroleum stations) in Taiwan or if you use the card at Visa retail outlets that do not accept Visa Contactless transactions.
*A small number of randomly selected transactions may require a signature.

What if my card does not work?
Make sure you hold your card in close proximity to the Visa Contactless reader. The RF signal has a range of approximately 4 centimetres. If you continue to have problems, contact the customer service hotline of your issuing bank. | |
