Visa: Key supporter of MoneySmart Week 2012
In September 2012, the Australian Government Financial Literacy Board will launch Australia’s first MoneySmart Week, promoting the importance of financial literacy across the country.
As part of Visa’s ongoing commitment to financial literacy, we’re proud to announce our role as a key supporter of MoneySmart Week, which will run from 2 – 8 September 2012.
About MoneySmart Week
MoneySmart Week is an independent, not-for-profit, national initiative that aims to show Australians how they can take simple steps to make a big difference to their finances.
MoneySmart Week echoes one of Visa’s core values; that financial literacy is an essential life skill, laying the foundation for long-term financial health.
At Visa, we understand the most important financial tool is not a product – it’s knowledge, and that’s why we’re proud to be key supporter of MoneySmart Week.
How can you get involved?
The first step in improving your finances is to assess how you’re tracking and then to set financial goals for the future.
The team at MoneySmart Week have developed an online tool for Australians to ‘do a money health check’ at www.moneysmartweek.org.au.
Throughout the week, Australians are encouraged to log on and complete the quick and easy quiz, to then be provided with personalised tips on how they can improve their money management.
On the MoneySmart Week website you will also find further information about other national and local events, activities and initiatives that you can get involved with.
